REKLAW is for sale

Postby Reklaw » 04 Aug 2025, 16:11

Hi guys,
I've decided that it's time to scale down operations a bit. A couple of things are going to go and, sadly, one of them is REKLAW. I'll post it here for a couple of weeks and if there's no interest from Club Members, I'll post it elsewhere.
Many would know of REKLAW but here's a brief rundown.
She's about 14 and a bit foot long. The hull was reported flopped off a Lewis skiff by Filam in Geelong about 1970. She was originally owned by Ray (Sparra) Harrison and was successful in the 266 Sidevalve Class, having taken out an Australian and a Victorian Championship.
She is now fitted with a 283 Chevy which she handles admirably.
My asking price is a firm $20K. If it doesn't sell within the Club, I'll probably up the asking price a bit on the open market.
If you are interested or want to find out more give me a buzz on 0488 332 028
Hopefully I'm about to add a few pics.
Bob

Sad to see Bob. She's truly a beautiful thing and a testament to your patience and hard work. If only I had the coin. Good luck with the sale. I'm sure it'll get snapped up pretty quick.

This is a fantastic Skiff, it is wonderfully restored and presents brilliantly.
It also goes extremely well, it runs hard and straight a real "hoot" to drive.
I didn't want to come back in, up at the Hawksberry River.
Also as a hybrid you have the best of both Worlds...you can play and not go searching for a trailer (as its going to sink)
As a "turnkey' boat you can be on the water straight away at a incredibly reasonable price compared to restoration.
I know Mr Walker would be "torn" having 2 V8 skiffs in the stable, but understandably with his history with Bewitched.....
