Looks similar to a "GAR WOOD 17'-6" and if it is? One of the rarest postwar models. Shortage of mahogany forced Gar Wood to discontinue this model.

This photo is GarWoods varnishing and painting room a seperate area from the rest of the factory.Notice full height folding doors , were used to regulate air temperature, humidity levels. Photo is early 1930s The boat Forsale is mid 1940s.
