Think its a 313/318 Dodge poly block from a c/d series truck.
Apart from the motor looks well maintained .

probably not a Y block for several reasons
Dissy is vertical where my Y block is at an angle to port side,
Starter motor is on other sdie from my Y block
It surely has been well maintained and looks like not a lot of work to do
steering cables, rudder reinstallaed, Top end engine rebuild maybe the complete engine if its been sitting for 40 years.
and polish the chrome!!!!
a good and probably fair starting price too
cheers

I rang the guy today on this boat. He is hoping to get $15000 for it. It seems to be in pretty good nick. I bet it will leak heaps though.
