Ronda
Ronda
To those who havent heard , i picked this up at the Bendigo swap meet. Late 60's Lewis walkabout ex racer called Ronda. Havent seen it in the flesh yet, but if it's half as good as the photo's suggest it's a real good thing.

Re: Ronda
A terrific find Ray. They keep coming out of sheds. I reckon this one will every bit as good as the pictures show.

Re: Ronda
A great pick up Ray. So good to have another one come out of a shed and get back on the water.
Re: Ronda
Had a bit of a play with Ronda over the Christmas break, the motor wouldn't turn over so i oiled up the bores and let it sit for a day or so. Still couldn't turn it over so i did the only thing i could think of.........I applied some persuasion to the prop i the form of a trolly jack. That worked with an audible click the motor freed up and now turns over freely. It hasn't been run in 20 years so it figures it might have been tight. On closer inspection it appears to be a reco head as there is no trace of any oil having been inside the rocker cover while the generator and starter have new brushes and are super clean inside! I'm super excited about getting it running, I really think this is going to be a nice boat!!
