good price for what you get
something a bit different
Re: something a bit different
This boat was restored by ex CAWPBA member, Glen Hickmott, who also did a Chris-Craft (Capri), an Eddy (Raven) and possibly an old carvel from Adelaide. He bought Jetstream back in about 2012. Does a really nice job.
Re: something a bit different
What are you doing up this early Greg? Soil the bed as they say?
That boat wont last long at that price. I'd even buy it if it was down here. A couple of things though, the exhaust manifold water feed looks too big and too close to the engine, and that shaft is going to vibrate itself to bits with only on uni joint.

Re: something a bit different
yes I think you are right about the water feed and I thought the same about the single Uni joint - but on a closer look wondered if a second uni might be 'hiding' under the engine mount / adaptor because there seems be the snippet of a spline just visible? I hope so otherwise you vibration comments are definitely true
Re: something a bit different
What is it? another cold moulded hull
Re: something a bit different
Check that time again Craig. Getting in training for some early morning rabbiting.
Just looked at some original pics of the boat and noted that the current water set up to the exhaust manifolds is the same as the original. No pics of the shaft, but I'm guessing he would have kept it like original as well.

Ahoy there! Yes this has been properly restored by my mate in Townsville , and Greg is correct in that he has previously restored those boats plus an early 1930’s 23 foot Chris Craft.
The motor rebuild is worth $10 k plus, as the add states it is 98% complete and the motor/boat have not been used since the restoration.
A rare unique wooden runabout worth so much more than the asking price!
