Cant help noticing thename Hellyer on the hydro and the other name Haynes and Hellyer marine gearboxes and parts come to mind - could that be a clue or just coincidence. I am sure H and H were/is a Sydney business.

You're very quiet Darren. This hydro has your name all over it. I'd take it in the blink of an eye if it wasn't in Perth, if I had the garage space, if I had the time.... if 'if' wasn't the most futile word in the English language. This boat has to be he best deal of all time!

Yes Bob I would love to have a look at it.
But somehow buying a 24 footer when I haven't even piloted a hydro before............
Is it like doing your learner's in an F1 car!!!!
What a shame (or fortunate) it is in Perth, it looks interesting

Im not sure that boat is 24ft. It was in my mates shed a couple of years ago and Im sure it was 21ft 6in. It had a trailer then also. That boat has had everything picked off it (now the trailer). Buggered if I know how you would get it transported.

Sold for $2500 - it has to be the steal of the century, even if it is in Perth! Anyone know who the new owner is?

Yes it was cheap considering what it would cost to build. Still its a cabover so it will take some reengineering to make it a rear stear hull plus as I said earlier its a bare hull so you are up for everything else.
