Says it comes with a 327 chev, would have been one quick seacraft.

Re: very sad seacraft for wrecking
Piece of cake for Ken (Righty O)
Re: very sad seacraft for wrecking
Looks like a pretty wicked two barrel carb? Don't think it would even stand the trip to my place.
Re: very sad seacraft for wrecking
I have emailed the Guy about checking this out. 327 could be good in Grumpy

Re: very sad seacraft for wrecking
Hi all, looked at it this evening and I think that there is a fair chance that if you tried to tow the boat it would just blow away, it is that rotten. The motor had water in the oil and wouldn't turn over. It hadn't been started since the 80,s .It was running a direct drive and was running standard manifolds rather than water cooled ones . The sea craft badge was still there. Trailer seemed OK.
So experience people is it worth a bid?

Probably worth not much more than the opening bid. A small block chev engine as a rebuilder isnt really worth much more. If the unstruments are there that would be an added bonus. By the sounds of it take a tandem trailer to drag it home with or it just migh fall to pieces on the road side. A bit sad to see it let go ths far.
Are you bidding on this Nick?

If no one bids I will make an offer, not sure that it is worth the $. If I don get it I will be offering the trailer up, all I want is the drive line stuff- not really a good time but if the price is really low I will go for it. I think I am at least 12 months away from being at the stage where I need an engine and it would be nice to get one with a dog clutch.
Re: very sad seacraft for wrecking
Hey Nick, would be interested in the trailer, dont want to bid against you though.
Re: very sad seacraft for wrecking
Nick, make sure it has a dog clutch as the front engine mount looks like an adapter ring from early powerglide cast box so may be not all proper convertion.
