they are straight gears so wouldnt suit anything other than a parallel gearbox which therefore excludes casale argo and h and h vee drive type gearboxes

Did you snap these up Dazza? Interesting this guy was flogging a higher ratio 20:26 (30%) which sold for $28 but the other set 22:24 (10%) went for $184. These look like Haynes & Hellyer straight cut gears which would suit a H & H Z drive box. Do these work in an Argo Z drive?
