Rolls Royce Dart - gas turbine - turbo prop, Vickers Viscount, Fokker Friendship, etc. no pistons, just a deafening scream from the propellor. Trust me, I know. What did you say? I can' hear you!

I think the meteor tank engine would go well in a small wooden tuhboat :roll:

Ive been offered a few over the years. They usually bring around ten grand in that conditon.

It was awsome to watch but not as fast as you may think - Dave has written a bit of a story on this boat and the subsequent ones on the Boat Racers forum - this engine ended up in an aluminium flatbottom that had the names Merlin 11 and when I last saw it and helped remove the engine it was called The Magician. I believe this motor ended up in Predator with 3 x 4 barrel carbys and if I am incorrect Dave will let us know
