Been working and now have the planks installed and engine bearers installed.
Strengthening the front engine mount.
Now bringing the cav plate down in width to 16 inches wide as it was originally built.
Now looking for a replacement skeg the same dimensions.
Looks like it has a crack in it and the bolt pattern is not standard so will be redrilling the keel to standard .
Little skiff
Re: Little skiff
I'm looking forward to seeing this Skiff going again on its test run after all the work that's been done. In the meantime I'll have to teach you how to post some pics on this bb of your work Ross lol.
Re: Little skiff
What are the skeg dimensions Ross?
Re: Little skiff
Greg it is 12 degrees and 143 mm to centre of the shaft and 1 inch shaft .
Re: Little skiff
Ross, I can match everything except that it's a 7/8 shaft
Re: Little skiff
Skiff was up and running again and was much improved ride .
Will try a cav plate ajustment next run but the engine was running really well and was hitting 5800 RPM and that's roughly 60 mph .
Was wasn't the best but will have to run a strap over the bilge pump as the top keeps coming off in ruff water .

Re: Little skiff
Still working on the boat to clam down and not producing any more ajustments to the hull to be done.
A few roves replaced and added a cross bearer to the front of eng bearers to make it more rigid. .Hopefully refitting of the engine very soon.
