V8 Heat Exchanger wanted

Postby gwhastie » 12 Mar 2021, 10:58

Hi folks. I'm after a reasonably priced used heat exchanger to cool a 350 Chev. I really don't want to spend more than $500.

Apologies Alan. Just found the PM. I looked up the model number and unfortunately its an oil cooler. I'm after a fresh water/raw water cooler/ heat exchanger....unless it can be used for both purposes. I'd welcome any feedback please as I'm very interested. Thank you for your efforts so far. Regards, Gary

Hi Gary, yes it can be used for both, it would be an over kill for engine oil. The ends can be changed and would normally be large to match the hose size (Radiator) but in a boat we often use smaller hose. This style end is usually fitted with the end holes one up one down so that the liquid does three passes. Call me on 0403 838 193 if you want.
