Goolwa 2019

Postby Reklaw » 20 Feb 2019, 11:36

Just wondering, is anyone going to Goolwa this year?
I'm going, but the plastic boat is broken again, so just going as a spectator.
Making a trip out of it, going via the NSW South Coast, Sorrento Ferry to Queenscliff, then Great Ocean Road.

A lot will have to go right for us to make it this year, Carol is booked in for knee surgery around this time so it's fingers crossed

I am going to Goolwa, like Bob Walker minus a boat as well.
I pulled Scrubcat down this week, seeing if we could just fit some new heads.
The bores are pretty marginal though (with my total disregard and punishment), so it would be a waste of a set of gaskets.
Hoping may get a date on my dance card, although after Ken's BPee, my chances may be slim

That was Ken just practicing for Sunday. It was great to get the two Dave Gill boats in the club on the water together and whats more they both went home still running.

Yes, it was a great day to view the event as a spectator. Unreal boating. Fantastic event, special boats and real entertainment. i will be back with Scrubcat next year for sure. And to see Rascala and B Pee together was special. The runabouts ( Miss Dee and Hi Fi) were entertaining as you can see from the pics. And finally Graham Howards skiff with the Fiat was one of my favourites. Thanks Skiffo for picking me up from the city!
