Re: Torquewood
As attendees of Narrandera know, Torquewood made its debut at the event. Work on the boat was finished at 3:50 pm on Friday, the trailer was hooked up and Mitchell and myself rolled into Narrandera with a boat somewhere around 7:30 pm. Rolled down the boat ramp on Saturday not knowing whether it was going to float or sink or whether the engine would go or fail. Apart from a couple of small issues which were expected, the boat surpassed my expectations of it. It appears to be a well handling tub which puts it miles ahead of its predecessor. It is a work in progress and the interior is the next step after the trailer rebuild this week.
Re: Torquewood
So sorry Andy, there are fair pricks out there, not only did they flog you're boat, they took your wheels as well!
Suppose the one positive is tagged the trailer in white paint.
Let me know if you need a hand to clean the stones.

Re: Torquewood
Don't worry mate, stolen boats are nothing new around here, the wheels are the only thing that the trailer has going for it. 4 new hubs arriving today, not one of the originals were re usable so they be gone to the tip, some tip rat will think he's got a bargain! There is obviously a reason why oil companies developed high temp bearing grease, it's just a shame the previous owners of this outfit never knew about it. The overspray has gone, it blew away in the last dust storm on Tuesday. See you tomorrow at Eppalock for some recreational boating fun, suppose I had better go and chuck a battery in old faithful for its 3rd trip, second one in the water
