Now that all is going well so far, on the trip back from Narrandera we broke a mud gard bracket so l have moved the gards up 100mm .
I have had some plates cut to make a 8o mm drop axle up with 40mm square solid.

Walking around the rear of the boat , some cracks were detected in the chrome of the steering quadrent .
Had a think about this and the avalability of a replacment and ha aranged to have a 20 mm S/S unit laser cut . Will have that tomorrow.
Working sometimes pay off !!!!!!

Greg due to the weight of it, l had work cut 2 -- 50mm circles out of the quadrent and is a bit lighter.
Just need to polish it up and fit it after cutting the cable grooves.

Today l cut an axle and welded some 20mm drop plates to form a 80mm dropped axle for the trailer to make it easier get to boat off on the local boat ramps .
Managed to aline the stubs using two bare rims and strapped them to some heavy 5" channel.
When wheels dont osalate when axle is rotated after welding, it's all good .

Swaped the axle today, still have good clearance under the prop / rudder.
Amazing how much water was in the bearings after a week away from water .

Sanded the deck back and coated it.
Intend to add a few coats as it didn't get finished off as intended . Had some moisture get under the surface in a few spots. But had sanded out well .
To much of a hurry to get it going. !!!!
