1920'S CLASSIC TIMBER TRIPLE COCKPIT SPEEDBOAT
Re: 1920'S CLASSIC TIMBER TRIPLE COCKPIT SPEEDBOAT
What do you know of this one Dave P? From the description and the price, it seems very appealing for the right person.

I think he knows all about this one Bob. As Dave says, he even has his mug in one of the photos.

Yes - saw DP peering into the bilge. What a pity that the hull has been glassed over.

Ive done a heap of work on this one for the owner. It has a brand new 351 Cleveland. Its done less than half an hour running.
All freshwater cooled with a velevet drive transmission.
I made all the seats and had it trimmed.
I found an old 1920s steering column with steering box and adapted a morse steering setup to it.
The hull needs a lot of work. I stripped the glass off one side and it wasnt pretty.
The deck is great.
It runs well in the water up to around 30mph and then it torque rolls to one side. I reckon a smaller prop will sort that out.
It probably only went thirty with its original powerplant.
We all took it out at one of our wet togethers on the hawkesbury. We had probably ten guys in it all leaning out the side leveling it out when I dared to take it over the thirty
