Pagan uncovered!!
Pagan uncovered!!
Hi all, I was contacted today by a gentleman Ian Doggett. His uncle Earl Webster owned and raced Pagan in the early 60's, it seems with moderate success. Earl passed away in June knowing that Pagan was once again operational and was chuffed by the news. It seems Pagan had a nemesis by the name of Screamin Eagle!! Wonder what they were talking about when they were parked side by side in my shed!! Below are some pics Ian sent me, Pagan used to keep some good company!

Wonderful stuff Ray. Great photos.

All good things come to those who wait, (especially when there's nothing else you can do)
Re: Pagan uncovered!!
Hi guys, there are more photo's to come but they may take a while. It appears that the motor in the pics is not the same one as now, pipes exit out the right hand side from under the hatch. Wonder what it ran back then?
Re: Pagan uncovered!!
Well done Ray, always a nice surprise when you get some more history and photos of your boat.
Does Pagan run a Z or V drive? Maybe the motor was spun around to accommodate a different gearbox setup?

Re: Pagan uncovered!!
Red Hydro on the left in the last photo, could be "Tiger" . Pagans' "hatch" could be from another boat.
Doc.

Re: Pagan uncovered!!
Pagan runs a chain driven V drive. Something about the height of the motor tells me its not original. The Vanguard motor wouldn't fit under that hatch, too tall
Re: Pagan uncovered!!
But would've it if it was spun around direct drive?
Re: Pagan uncovered!!
By the way, the photo with Atom was taken at Yarrawonga. Just not sure when
