Hi All,
I sent Resurrected's motor off to Alan Price to have it rebuilt. Alan discovered a crack in the bore of the number 1 cylinder and has just found out from the machine shop that it has been re-sleeved before and there is not sufficient material behind the bore to prevent it cracking again. Putting a call out for a suitable block to rebuild particularly if you have a 4 bolt block that has a four inch bore. I would also be interested in usable motors if you have one you could part with.
Cheers
Nick

Hi Nick.
Have you considered a new block? For about $1,000 you can get a brand new 4 bolt standard 4"bore block from Eagles. If you buy second hand, then start chemical cleaning, new cam bearings, machining etc you'll probably be up for $600 - $700 anyway.

I bought a motown block for atomic. It weighs a ton. I picked it up for a hundred dollars at a swap the stuff thats filling it has cost a heap more.. ive still done it on a budget. Turn key shoukd be under four grand and its all brand new. Not one gm or chinese (maybe) part in it.
Id buy a good runner for a ski boat though.
