Suffrajet for sale

Postby NPeth » 26 Jan 2014, 20:23

Dear Board,
I can't believe that this has happened but I am selling suffrajet, a 1964 bondwood with 186 and Jet drive. Unfortunately I need her shed space to park my new Gilflite clinker in. $3000 to board members or try your luck on ebay.
Regards
Nick

Congrats on your new baby Nick and welcome to the the leaky weatherboard club.

Hmm, sounds like another yellow boat to keep Ray company.

I want to, but at the moment I am in the full joy of new boat ownership. 1. Water in the oil so spent today taking the heads off, sure enough the head gasket is blown, this is probably because 2. When running the engine on the hose water was only really coming out of the left side exhaust so rebuild of replace water pump, 3 filled up the boat and had petrol dripping out from the bottom of the boat so the turn key boat isn't quite so turn key (No battery either, seller removed it between inspection and purchase, positive feed back called for or what) One thing that I can explain is the mystery of no ribs, the boat has been double planked, ribs and roves then a lining of planks screwed to the ribs. Yellow is now my favorite colour for boats.
Anyway, engine rebuild this week, fuel tanks the week after and then I might get to see how it goes

Well done Nic!!!, So, is Grumpy going to follow the same fate as AJAY now? You are the coolest school teacher that I know, except maybe for my grade 3 teacher way back then, who bore a striking resemblance to Suzi Quattro at the time  AND she drove an HK Monaro to school every day.
