Have a look at this... the seller says the bones are good. Right.

Re: "Good Bones"
Animal bones inside I think Bob. Very sad to see a boat let go this way.
Re: "Good Bones"
Yes this a testament to "I'm gonna restore it one day"
Then when old mate realizes it's been outside for 15 years and is stuffed, he advertises it and tries to talk it up.
How sad, looked a nice shaped craft

What do you reckon it us Darren. Those cav plate adjusters are 70s vintage is my guess.
Re: "Good Bones"
Here's the sad history I have got on this boat:
Advertised as a (1960) Stephens hull in 12/05. Claimed to have been the first of three timber hulls made by Stephens to flop their new glass hulls off. Asking $15,000. Owner keen to move it as it was store outside under a tarp.Boat was still in reasonable condition at this time.
For sale for $12000 in Dec 09. Apparently needed a full repaint and I would guess a lot more due to still being stored under a tarp outside for some years. Boat was located near Romsey, with the owner in Melbourne.
For sale at a clearance sale in Pastoria East, Vic in May 2018. I attended the sale and viewed the boat. The hull had deteriorated considerably with extensive rot in transom, planks at the transom and cav plate. Holden 308 sitting in hull without a carby and the manifold open. Sold for $2500
Purchased by someone keen on its restoration
For sale on FB July 23, asking $3200. In poor condition.
Boat was recently viewed by one of us, I'll let him comment further, but he said it was too far gone.

Re: "Good Bones"
Thanks Greg.... your memory is just amazing. LOL. Some interesting claims by one of the previous owners. As best I know Stephens flopped an Everingham a 16 footer. I'm not aware of them ever building a timber hull, let alone 3 of them.
