Boating - No, but . .

Postby Greg » 14 Feb 2014, 17:57

I have been asking myself recently whether my 25 HP Kubota tractor was really adequate for my enormous acreage, so went out looking for something that might serve me better.

I wasn’t looking for anything new, just a good second hand unit would do. It wasn’t long before I spotted something that fitted the bill perfectly:

1960’s model
Aussie built
Weighs in at about 25 tons
30 feet long and 25 feet wide
Powered by a 120 litre diesel
Produces 1,000 horsepower

I'm having a little trouble getting it registered, so I'm not too sure on how I'm going to get it home.

Just drive it home, who's going to stop you?!
They'd end up like a pancake.

On you tube there is a clip of a tractor pull modern tractor with over 700HP having a "pull off" with an old steam traction engine/roller of about 25-40 HP.

GUess which one went backwards? You got it the modern whizz bang lost out every time.

Hey Greg if you can work out how to transport the monster, maybe a little side line, she would make one hell of a stump puller.
