You know thommo porsche spent a fortune developing the 928. The bloody things fly but they just wernt embraced by the porsche community.
I bought this one to rob the transaxle out of it for a masearti project im accumulating parts for.
It worked out cheaper to buy a whole car than to pay what the porsche wreckerz want.
The car im wrecking was really nice. It was a shame really.

Only thing about the air cooled Porsche is they all look and sound the same for the last 20 yrs,
Controlled racing is boring, that goes for the V8 super cars as well.
To close to a squashed vw for me, But I have never driven one though that well may change my mind.

Historic Racing is much better to watch and closer to the grassroots of the racing that production racing was all about.
People would buy a car based on its performance and endurance, you cant say that now with V8 supercar racing - not one part is from a factory production current car. Detuning a car to race is madness, locals should improve to keep up. Its all about making money for a few people that got upset years ago that ended production racing.
At least the Porsche race cars come from the factory as they are raced. May not be road legal but Holden / ford could do the same with production body and factory components.
US has all so lost it with there speedway cars too as now they are not a production car like they where.
A lot of safety was developed into the road cars, as they had to race the same car you could buy off the showroom floor, it did brig out some great sort after cars in the past.

It is nice to drive some thing that's light with plenty of boot under the foot, I must agree with you.

Have to agree with you Ross when Brocky won Bathurst in the XU1 meself and 3 Mates drove up in the same car that won the race, then spent 20 hours driving home in a off the shelf holden, 8-)
