Slant 6 manifold

I have had someone contact me chasing a manifold for a Chrysler slant 6 motor when fitted vertically (yes, you read/heard right). Rare beast indeed, I would say. Drop me a line if you know of one.

Why vertical ?? they ran on normal slant in boats of the day and performed well.

If they must be vertical , buy plenty of Tube and become a good Welder , only way to do it. I have never seen anything advertised even in USA.
Come to think of it never seen in any Hot rod or Race car pics either.

Can only go on what I have been told: a slant six mounted vertically. I spoke of the height and what the sump set up must be like, but, like I said, I can only go on what I am told. I did say I reckon he might have a bit of trouble finding one. He has a SBC back up plan.

Nankervis was the culprits for this ! They had the casting made for this in the sixties but do not have the patterns any more.
The boat in question it in Bendigo and was a common practice to stand the engine upright.
So some where there must be a manifold you would think laying around, but don't know what they have!

I viewed hundreds of Ski and race boats during the 60s thru to the 80,s across 4 States and never saw this common conversion. Hope someone finds it and posts pictures it will be interesting to see what carbs were used on what must have been semi updraft manifold.
