Haynes & Hellyer Gears Wanted - 10% approx

Postby Bob Vic » 21 Mar 2012, 15:26

I'm after a set of smaller gears to suit my Haynes & Helleyer Z drive gearbox in Rebound. Current gears are too tall so looking for something around 10%. Call or SMS me on 0418 101 626 of PM me - whatever is easy. Thanks Bob.

So Bob are you trying to speed-limit the beast to <70mph? That's got to be a good thing...I might consider another ride :o

The prop I'm running on Rebound is 11 1/4" x 16" - just checked the Prop Scan sheets. This is a Ron Hill stainless steel 2 blade prop with medium size blades. Gearbox is stamped in the ratio area 25 21. I know the top gear does have 25 teeth but from the photo I can't count the teeth but it is definitely small and could well have 21 teeth... so you could be right Dave 20% overdrive.

Bob thats the same as mine and if you turn the top drive one rev the out put is about 8% more rotation , I thought that the stamps where the teeth numbers
