I went over and looked at it. That when I noticed the casting number indicating it was a 283. Is a 63 block.

Still a good block to have as they will swing a large crank and bore to 4"and have steel crank std !!
Many a good tune played with a 283 !!!!!!!!!!

With an injected 283 ffsure did 92 mph. The guy tight he had a 350. Just thought it wouldnt be right not ti tell him and let potential bidders know. I've been caught with a 307 like that. Now I check numbers.
