I believe this boat is currently called Ol Flame, but was known as In-M-Ocean and Alfresco in previous lives.

I looked at this boat when I was in Hobart early this year. The boat is in great condition and the price is good too. It's an unusual build style. From the outside it's a clinker hull, but inside it has a series of frames and stringers. There are no ribs as such. Engine looks the part too.

Well, Chris is coming over from Tas to pick one up and I'm going to Qld in Oct, but what chance is there of it going past my place? hmm

No joke, I am booked to travel to Melbourne on the Ferry from Tasy on Thursday 2 June. The boat is about 30 minutes from where I live and on the way to the Ferry. So for you tyre kickers out there or wood rot checkers more to the point I am happy to tow it to Melbourne (as long as ya let me have a run in it at some time?)

Cheers from Chris Chivers

If they did Paul, they have not contacted me to deliver it! There is only one other member in Tasy and I am pretty sure its not what Barry would want, I think he would like to build something like Bob has bought recently. Were you after something to add to the eleven you already own? With that in mind, and assuming you are going to Narrandera, are you going to bring Lincoln again, or something else? And while I got you, I read the Starfire piece you added re project/readers boats and wondered what the advantage of putting on paint with a rag is?

Not sure what i an bringing to the nats i might bring the Binx if i get it finnished in time.
As for the rag trick you can put the colour on more even and then you can darken the coats up as you go and still be able to see some wood behind the paint.
