The boat had glass on it when i sold it but the chap that bought it took it all of. From memory it had some rot in the stem but it look like they have fixed it. the boat was complete right down to the gauges. The boat is 15 foot.

G'day Hookster, welcome aboard. Can tell you from a personal level it is addictive and 2 boats will happen (one to practice on the other to get right!) The hunt for boats and bits keeps it interesting then there's the satisfaction of seeing your hard work come to fruition. The guys from the club are amazing with their knollege and willingness to help, and whatever the problem someone will have solved it before. Good luck with finding a project. Ray

Thanks Ray, I have always had an interest in working with wood, spent a few years working on the west coast of Tassie so accumulated some bits and pieces of minor species  timber (blackwood, myrtle, celery top pine, king billy pine) and thought it would be :( nice to put that timber into a boat one day...well hopefully that day has finally arrived :P And yes I do feel an addiction coming on!

who said it stops at two boats??? i had four last week and now down to three. thank god cause now the boss is leaving me alone. projects are great and the first is the best. my only advice would be buy something that needs mainly cosmetic work and a tidy up. have some fun with it and enjoy it. my first project is still in the shed half done with the plan changing weekly. if i didnt put so much work into it the thing would have been gone long ago. ohh and if u end up with two or three finish the first before you start the next. or have a huge shed. working from a single garage does not work very well. in fact its realy bloody frustrating.

seeing as you are going to get to nerrandera with a boat dont u think u should hurry up and buy one?? it took me four trips up there before i finally made it with a boat. this weekend comes around faster then your birthday each year.

so which one are you going to buy???? bottla looks like it will be a cool old boat and its nice to know what boat you have. look forward to seeing what you end up with.

Paul probably would have had them all, if he wasn't sidetracked stealing skiffs from other states.
