1950's Outboard Hydro for sale

Postby Bob Vic » 21 Jul 2021, 09:37

Just happened to see this ad in my local newspaper this morning.

I know nothing more than what you can see here... presumably it is located in Bairnbsadale or surrounds.

I think the name is slightly wrong because it seems like it could be one of these Anzani engines /Hydros if it is someone should grab it

I contacted the seller and here is what he sent back.
Photos of boat. Late 1950's era. Was raced at Lake Glenmaggie, etc. Wood structure is in good shape, needs canvas deck added and painting. Motor is mid 1950's English Anzani twin cylinder 15hp. Needs steering cables connected and throttle hooked up. No trailer. Comes with spare parts motor as well. Give me a call for more information. Cheers Glenn

Thanks for posting that Will, i guess i have a steep learning curve ahead. It was the seat that got me over the line, no way i could do a kneel down, my poor old bones would have drawn a line at that!

Good on you Ray. Great pick up. Best you get this ready for Narrandera. It wouldn't be too hard to bring two boats now, one on a roof rack!

Well done Ray, I have a similar engine, and plenty of props.
