Hi Phil I like Buster from the pics and the prospect of building the engine is right down my ally - so to speak.
What size is Buster I cant see any specs in the forum pages - I guess 12 to 13 ft?
My problem is Im an old fat bastard 100kg and wonder if it might end up a a dredge.
I know before anyone chimes in it would be easier to lose 20kg
Seriously tho it seems you have increased the freeboard - would it be sensible to have a 100kg driver?

As an old skinny bastard in my skiff, sometimes I wish I was a fat bastard.
Ballast aint that bad.

Phil looks like I had best plan a trip south - where are you / Buster located (town) also is the trailer registered and or roadworthy?
I can get a NSW travel permit if necessary.
Im tied up with some Sailing / charity stuff for next couple of weeks but hopefully clear after that

This is a great video on what the fuss is all about with a skiff. Think it's a Queensland Skiff so 202 Holden motor.

Bit premature Bob I haven't even seen it yet.
That vid could have frightened me off - I thought driving a race car was crazy enough
