1955 wooden clinker ski boat
Re: 1955 wooden clinker ski boat
I remember this one from back around 2000. It was named Rawhide then and based in Ballarat. It came from somewhere in South Australia. I always reckoned it was an old skiff. Long, narrow hull. Used to go really well. Knew it was sold, but lost track of it.

I was thinking there's something not right about its current cockpit layout, it's very straight along the sides.
Would be an old skiff with that hull shape.

Hi All Just another one but its NOT a Lewis. Ron.
Re: 1955 wooden clinker ski boat
Ron I disagree with you on this one I have seen the boat when it was in Adelaide and it had the lewis plate and the guy converted it to a skiff and left the original dash sill under the deck. Duck flat filled the bottom of the boat with epoxy to stop it leaking and when I say fill it they had to re drill the prop shaft again and re set the log up again.
