The photo of "PSYCHO" i have is a B/W image close up shot on a trailer with reg # VS-80. Could be glass hull with a timber deck. The more input we get the better. I believe there were 5 Gilflight hulls.

PSYCHO pictured is a small Stephens hull was previously called LOBO . All glass with 350 chev . This was before Alan Beale bought the Business. An observant person may think there was a strong liking between Stephens and Everingham. "Glass can do that".

As for the number of boats built by Gill for racing , depends on whether you are counting the Skiffs , Hydros and Runabouts or just one size and type of Hull.

As Bob said, a call to David Gill would soon sort the construction question.
I think they want closer to $10k for it.

Comment on the Gill hulls from Steve Moritz on Ozboatracers.
Comanche Don Nichols was the sister of Vulture with 1/2 " planks and mother of the 17 and16.6 Sawcraft
Both Impulse Don Farrel and Possa Greg Flemming {of later Villian fame} were sisters by design but lighter built with 3/8 planks.

While there may have been "Sister Hulls" only one ever had the talent to be a top competitor across the Country and that one is still missing ?
The rest were "good average racers" when run against the best in Australia at that period in time.

This is a good test of my memory... the original Psycho was a 'glass hull with timber deck and ran 265 hemi. I'm pretty sure this was a Gilflite. I've got a feeling that there was even a vee bottom Skicraft Psycho with the same engine at some stage. Other boats in this class included Rascala, Klute and Puff n Stuff. With regards the Stephens and Everingham issue.... I don't think Bert sent a Christmas card to any address in Moe.

Could this boat have been built as a design plug for a Glass version ? no need for ribs etc if not meant to be used as wooden unit.
The engine is placed further back than the "Vulture" style as it had room for passenger seat behind the engine so as to meet "Service Runabout Class" that existed at the time.
