Has anyone looked at this Gilflight, looks ok in the photos?
I thought it'd been sold at least once before?

Hi Dave, went and had a look at today and it seems like a pretty good thing. Needs a repaint on the hull, but all seemed solid. I haven't seen a bpat built like it before though. No ribs in the construction and screwed together rather than riveted? Any one know anything about the history of the boat, is it a Gillflite? Thinking about putting in a bid so I can have it in time for Yarrawonga ;)

No ribs at all? Doesn't sound like the same construction as the Comanche Gilflite was. Does it have frames like a Bondwood then? I've seen a Clinker speed boat built that way but it wasn't a Gill hull.
What do others think??
Rascala is also a Gill hull with ribs.

This photo of Comanche's motor shows the standard rib construction.

Being the configuration the yellow boat is,
and having the name Ressurection, its got to be an old race boat, surely :!:

This kind of construction is pretty unusual... a phone call to David Gill 03 9725 0011 would quickly clear this up.

How does "PSYCHO" sound i'm quite sure she ran a yellow hull. It did race ,for who and under what name i'm not sure. Present owner wanted a firm $15 K when i inquired when first listed. This construction was quite common in N.S.W. by boat builder of the time. I was hoping it was "VULTURE" but length ruled this out.
