Lewis stuff

Postby bootlegger » 07 Oct 2009, 20:24

Im wrecking out circa 1961 16 ft Lewis Twin cockpit runabout

Lewis/ Husky three piece windscreen frame with tinted perpex windscreen Could clean up but probably should be rechromed.
$375
Round petrol tank to suit. $75

Hull complete with Shaft, Prop and steering (internal steering). Hull is very rough but not beyond repair. Its been glassed up to the waterline and at least needs the top plank replaced on both sides. There is some rot at the rear of the second plank on the RHS (the last foot). It also has the deck fittings (apart from the windscreen).
There doesnt seem to be any rot in the transom. It also needs a couple of deck beams and a new deck.

The trailer is not towable (it broke on the way home) but I could weld another draw bar and hitch for the cost of the steel.
$450 boat and trailer.
No motor or interior.

Or the whole lot for $800

Ill give it a week and then list everything on evil bay :D

Its the same screen as whats commonly on all the Lewis's. Sort of like a Duval Hot rod screen.
This is the same as the ones everyone wants to get cast up but as yet I havent done. Ive got a set for myself already so I can live without this one.
The boat seems to have never had a bow handle on it. But it does have the cleat to tie the rope onto.
Some of the Lewis,s Ive seen havent had a bow handle on them either just a flat cast chrome piece.
