One cheap boat, most skiffs & skiffabouts had the same lower hull .I notice on CAWPBA video site that it states NSW Waterways has banned the straight out zoomies!

They arent banned as long as they are under the decibels allowed. of course that is impossible to achieve.
Im running zoomies on my big skiff. Aggressor has them as well as atomic.

Dave,
If you read the comments under Utube video on CAWPBA site it states that Wildfire is banned by NSW Waterways running zoomies. 95 dbs at 4,000rpm was the reading back in 2000.

It is a good buy and looks great but I cant see how it will go up in value. Its a converted runabout with no history.
If you Want to invest in something buy iconic old cars and bikes. Even then you need to buy the ones at the top of the tree. Im restoring cars for people at the moment that would have been scrapped a few years ago.
They see mad money being paid for low production special cars so they think all of the lesser more common cars like that are worthwhile investments. They are going to do their dough.
There is no money to be made out of old speedboats.
Only passion keeps them on the water. Believe me ive blown all my money on my collection. I doubt they are worth much more than I have in them.
Doc that guy is just bragging that his boat has been banned by waterways so he sounds more like a rebel with a bit of notoriety.
Taking a boat out on a weekend with other boats everywhere roaring up and down will always draw the authorities attention.
I go out during the week when no one is around. Never once been pinged for noise.
Last time I ran aggressor in the bridge with waterways everywhere. Even though I know its 115db no one came up to me and banned it for having zoomies.

Plenty of old plastic boats making good money, much more than this one .
Dave if that boat was taken to the USA it would bring a small fortune.
Our boats seem to be unique to aust in the way they are built and any wooden boat over there is sort after.
May be we should export them if we want to make money.

Ross what I have noticed about overseas is they like stuff made in their own country. Those jersey speed skiffs have a following even though they are slow and bad handling.
Our stuff has no relevance to them therefore if one went over there it would be seen as a curiosity.
there was a mint ek holden ute sold over there for $8000. It would have brought at least 15000 here.
Ive been offering aggressor over there. Even though its almost half the price of a comparable boat for sale over there ive had no interest.
I did have a collector from italy ask for a skiff but he wanted me to pay the freight over for the price he wanted to pay.
I guess all it takes is to put a skiff up fo sale and see what happens. They certainly are worth fxxx all here.
