Re: Hammond
Hi
I spoke to Mark Hammond about this boat yesterday and he assures me they never made any half timber half glass boats. The earliest fibre glass Hammond wasn't built until approximately 1967. The boat on EBay although not a Hammond is still not bad. It's got a great "nostalgia" engine.

It's at http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll ... K:MEWAX:IT . Not much time left.
It seems strange that a Moomba Masters boat would not be running a clutch of some sort and I would have thought there'd be better performing engines around at the time than a good old Y block. All the same, looks like a good outfit. It'll be interesting to see what they want for it.
