Re: Pompei
I just went through the catalogue, Some great items there.
Some junk as well. Lots of nice timber. Celery Top Pine, Karri, Jarrah and of course Huon Pine.
I'm interested in a couple of the items. The boats look OK but big projects. Lots of time, lots of materials and lots of $$$$ to complete.
Anybody have any interest in items let me know and I can bid for you if you give me an idea of what you want/lot number and what you want to pay.
I'll bid and pay remember there is 15% buyers premium and GST. on top.

Re: Pompei
The auction has been and gone. All lots sold. Some went for silly prices. Some didnt b get a bid but were then paired up with the mnext lot so that winner recieved a free lot. I was interested in the rowing boat keel and frames but got held up with a medical appointment and couldn't get there. The keel went for !00$ and the guy left the frames and templates behind. He wanted it o hang over his bar.
What a waste.
They wanted $200 for the frames and templates but didn't have any drawings so it would have been a waste, when I went down there yesterday
All the celery top, and timber ingeneral wqent for good prices.
When the doors are locked this arvo what ever is inside will be junked.
The building has been sold.
Such a shame. Apparently some of the family are money hungry
