Do not worry too much about the center of balance .
Basicaly to further aft you mount the engine and heavy gear in a centermount
the cleaner it will ride at speed .
With the engine too far forward it will push the nose down and will run wet .
Mount the motor in line with the shaft and as far to the rear of the boat as possible .
The sump will probably be the first thing that will snag on the bilge of the boat .
As the bottom will need some room to flex, position the motor with about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch
clearance and follow the advice about using a feeler gauge to get correct alignment .
