I'm about to build a new ski pole for Turbo Fire but can't for the life of me find the old one which we took out of the boat. I was going to use that as a pattern for the new one. The measurement that I don't have is the length of ski pole that extends above the deck. Perhaps those of you with a similar set up could let me know this measurement on your boat.
Thanks, Bob

Re: Ski Pole - Height
Bob you should sit in the rear seat, the rope normally just clips the rear seat passengers head. around 600mm of the deck I would gess.

Re: Ski Pole - Height
Thanks Ross - 600 sounds good to me. Sitting Brenda in the back and measuring where the rope would come by to flick their head sounds way too practical.

Bob
I have got the top of the ski pole 440 (~18") above the deck, with the pole 1100 from the transom. Might be a little low, but we have survived OK with only a few minor rope burn marks.

Re: Ski Pole - Height
Thanks Greg - looks like the height needs to be somewhere between 500mm & 600mm above the deck.

Re: Ski Pole - Height
Hi Bob,
Looking at the ski pole i have, why don't you have it adjustable then you can take it out with ease for a boat cover. A base pole [solid with 3 horizontal holes ] 12" long mounted . A mid loop , slide pole [with 3 horizontal holes ] over base pole and lock in with removeable pin.
Doc. ONE POLE COULD BE SET UP TO BE USED ON ALL OFYOUR BOATS.
