Remote oil filter on 350 chev

Postby viteau » 31 May 2011, 15:36

Hi Guys
I was wondering if anyone has or knows about fitting an remote oil filter on a 350 chev? I am at witts end trying to get mine off as my only other option is too pull the motor out and if possible fit an adaptor so future oil changes are much easier. Any help would be great appreciated.
Cheers Chris

I am going back quite a few years but the guys who import engines etc from the USA almost always had remote oil filter adapters as well as oil coolers for chevs

Hi Chris,
I would think your local marine, rod or streetcar shop would be able to help.
Somebody like these guys.

How do you like this?

or this?

There's heaps out there, just pick one with a cheap easy to find filter. The major brands normally have more engineering behind them and look far more professional.

Alan.
