Prop location!!!
Re: Prop location!!!
Thanks for the discussion and points made. While I agree with everyone you may have missed my point! Turbo Fire and Torea are Lewis sister’s and have their props well away from the skeg possibly being a design oversight or unknown issue back in the day? I wonder if Electric Girl has the same issue Doug? Are you there Doug ....over!

Ahoy Chivs,
I think this is where the dark art comes in! Steinway for example, has a huge distance between prop and rudder...still turns
Turbo Fire has a distance between prop and skeg, still turns. I visually see more distance in Torea's case, but if that's the way it was...

Re: Prop location!!!
Yep Bob cut 4 inches off the stern of Turbo Fire when restored so good observation mate if it was original it would be the same distance!!

Just an observation Chivs, but cutting 4" off the stern wouldn't change the distance of the prop from the skeg? Did Bob shorten the shaft as well?
Re: Prop location!!!
It’s about the rudder getting closer to prop so I expect it was shortened?? But I see your point, cheers
