G'day,
The restoration of Torquewood is underway,I have moved over here after posting the teaser photos, let's hope I can keep some interest in the board happening while the job continues. Had a visit from Ken through the week and learnt some valuable hints and information which has allayed my fears somewhat. From that point on about all that has happened is dismantling and sanding in preparation for refinishing.Heres a couple of polaroids

What a good looking boat, Andy
Looks really well built, do you know who built it?
Those exhaust outlets do have character, obviously tuned length copper ;)

Hello Darren, the only hint I have to who built it is from the guru himself,Ron Meehan. Ron thinks it was built in Echuca by a man named Jack Prentice. Google says Mr Prentice was a cabinet maker and boat builder in Echuca after his return from WW2. If anyone has further information on this boat, as usual I would love to hear from you. It spent a bit of time at Picnic Point Mathoura on the Murray River and at one point in its life it wore triple Webern.

It's a good looking thing Andy, would certainly sit up and bark with triple webbers on it!

Hi Ray, I am back, got locked out of the forum again. Every inline 6 that I can think of hits on 153624,a particular trap for new players in boating is when the engine drives from timing cover, I have experienced several old red motors where they have set the leads as if no1 is at the front of the boat.
