Steering wheel

Postby Greg » 16 Jun 2018, 10:44

Does anyone know if this steering wheel came out of a car or is just an aftermarket type.

Apologies for the poor pics, but they're all I've got.

From regularly belting my head on one in a certain XR falcon wagon, wouldn't mind betting it's a mustang steering wheel like the one in Scrubcat. Those in the know shall verify it

Looks to me like an aftermarket wheel. But these style wise were also on early model Alfas.

Does look similar, Andy. Mine may be a bit thicker in the spokes.

A bit thicker in the rim too, Darren and one more hole in the spokes.

I thought the Mustang wheels were riveted

Looks like a SAAS wooden wheel 1970s . Mustang wheel like Darrens is made by" Grant " wheels available around $300. Most of these wheels had a different boss kit to suit the type of car. Boss kit was extra $$$$.
