Ski Hi

Postby Will » 06 Jan 2018, 15:09

This looks a bit like a Len Hedges Ski Hi to me - anyone have a better idea?
Also been looking for something similar to restore is this boat known to members?
Dont tell me you dont know it with a name like that and located where half the CAWPBA members live (VIC) so give me an appraisal !!

Looks like one Will, but not convinced.

This is the first I have seen this boat. I reckon it would have been a really nice looking boat in its day. Would have gone nice with the Y block.

Got to love the woodgrain metal cav plate and struts.

Decent price tag.

Don't think it's a Ski Hi either, the stern could be but it seems lower in the transom. As for the bow it has more in common with a Seacraft, Ski Hi's have a much more streamlined profile. Speaking of which, i had the dubious pleasure of doing some repairs on Wooden Worry (Ski Hi) over the last couple of days, it has a decent crack running from just behind the bow back about 2 feet as well as some delamination where the hull meets the transom. Still, it was good to see the old girl again
