Hi Glenn,
I believe it was a common thing back in the day. If you go to Aussie Skiboat site : under" Austalgia Merlin Sabre " Photos [ Sunday 26 May 2013 ] i made comment on side by side turning fins.

Thanks Doc, I will be putting them back on in the same spot, it will be interesting to see how it handles on the water.

Looking good Glenn. Is the boat as beamy as it looks in the photos?

Greg, it is 7ft 4 inches in wide & 14ft 6 inches to the transom then another foot to the back of the wing, there was only 2 of these made in 1962. One with a outboard and this one Jet Stream, it started life with a 6 but was later changed to a 283 chev, i have made contact with the man who has got the other boat and he is also working on his,if me sends me a photo i will post it.Glenn.

Nice one Glenn! Always good to see photos mate, as YOU can appreciate. I heard a rumor missing persons in action are preparing to retort? I note Darren has returned after, "turning Japanese, turning Japenese, I really think so!"
(By way of explanation it's a song, possibly self gratifying!)
Last one, what's the go with you and Doc burning the mid night oil too, can't sleep or ?
Cheers boyz

Hi Chivs,
No Midnight Oil, just drugs! 2 operations in 14days to the throat hasn't gone well with sleep. Just waiting for isolation and radioactive tablet. If Victoria glows at night ,it's Docs' throat.
