Have repaired the mudguard that was bent and belted out in a fashion only to find the wheel bearings loose and would not tighten and found that it had incorrect one in the rear race. stub was suspect as it was welded and machined though the seal surface and small like may be ford zephyr or consul 5 stud. It now has a new axel and hubs .

I've also got one of these 5 stud strange ones on Toledo's trailer in the shed, it matches none of the "common" suspects.

Just fired up the boat to test out some baffling I made to bolt in the pipes if less noise is needed.
Sounds good !
Have painted the trailer and have all the lights working as they were originally set up.
A spare wheel has been fitted and a roller for the bow to rest up to, fitted to the front hoop.
Rego for trailer next week and hopefully a test run before we head to the Winton weekend.

Was to test in water today but finding some flexing in the trailer that was giving the bow a hard time I decided to brace up both sides of the trailer with tube.
Problem fixed ! will be ready to test when I have some time.

First test run was a great success. Ran fast and smooth and handled weii very pleased with it.
All came to an end when the steering quadrent come off on a turn . Made it back to the ramp by hanging onto the rudder shaft. Have got some problem with some wiring melting at high speed will look at that next.
Will be interesting to see what it will be like with twice the hp than the 283 stocker has !

Great news Ross.

Pretty drastic with the quadrant coming off, but an easy fix. Wiring should be easy enough to trace down. As for more horses, that right foot controls all that stuff
