Well I thought it might be time for an update, have skarfed port and starboard wiskey planks , port 450 mm back from the stem, starboard 600 back from the stem and replaced with maranti,8-1 skarf epoxy glued, and roved, next step make up a new breast hook and that has taken care of the rot caused by a leaky shed roof. Once the b/hook is fitted will start on the blunt end. Will take some pics when the b/hook is fitted. Also scored a patch of oringinal oxside red which i have had colour matched for latter reference.
Cheers

Re: Old Age(lewis runabout)
Fixing the planks was the easy part I am on my 3rd go at getting the breast Hook to fit with no gaps betwwen the planks and stem, this one looks like it could be a goer slow and steady as she goes

Aaah, Tommo...I had no idea what a breast hook was so I googled it....
If you use that on your old lady, then I'd hate to imagine what she's going to do to you with her new plane
