Morning Jon, Oh how I wish you were right mate!!!! I'm getting the ( WHY DONT YOU JUST SLEEP IN THE BLOODY SHED
) from my lovely wife at the moment so things may slow down a tad so I can make the little lady feel loved again. I know you know where I'm comming from. I still have two hull repairs to perform either side where the former owner decided to screw on the ??? ummmmm , the wooden strip thingy that stops the water splashing up , with carbon steel screws which of coarse rusted causing rot in the wood as per the below pics. As you see the below pics is where I am currently at in the resto as I took these this morning. My plan is to repair these sections tomorrow morning, once repaired I will begin the painting and varnishing process ( More Sanding !!!!!!!
) In the interim I have uncovered a treasure trove of old Holden Red Motor go fast bits, about a trailer and a half from an old speedway racer c/w yella terra heads, manifolds and believe it or not a sprint car dissy converted to suit the 202 pic below. I am in two minds of which direction to go as I also have a 60's paxton supercharger which would be totally awsome on the boat mmmmmmm N/A or Blown, this is the question.

Those capri were really just a Mazda323 on Aspirin.
I think the XR2 version went quite well but still suffered from the problems of winking headlights (one up and One down) that seem to plague a lot of cars with pop up headlights even the porsche 928. I suppose that you could claim that it is a second cousin to an MX5!!!!!!

Gents, I have stumbled across an old Holden Grey motor attached to an old type jet drive. Sorry about the lack of info but as of yet I am yet to see it. My question is were jet drives around back then or has it just been thrown on the grey motor????? , as this may be worth grabbing it its original. And No, there isn't a boat attached to it unfortunately

JET DRIVES :- Robbie Marine in Frankston Victoria was making Jet Drives in the 50's .I do have a photo of a sidevalve v8 rear mount with a "Robbie" jet drive attached.

Thanks Doc, I wasn't aware they have been around for so long. I will definately chase this one up then as I may find some use for it or it would be perfect for someone elses project.

Damo your excuse for having the Capri is acceptable
I reckon I'm onto your motive for having it for your daughter....chastity belts are no longer fashionable, so you've settled for the next best thing for her
Maybe you could shoe-horn a Y-block into the thing!!
Oh and one other thing, I'm tipping your wife is computer savvy, ie: she probably reads this bulletin board - because you seem to be very diplomatic and gentlemanly with your posting....kindly including her at every opportunity
I know a couple of other member's wives peruse the site as well, which results in said members displaying a similarly censored posting style
(you there Ray? Carol aka Pink Bits??) Haaaa Haaaaa, Jon.
