well fellas I hit a milestone today as its been approx. 3 years since I bought this crappy old boat, its come a long way and today got the first coat of varnish on the deck. not far now!!!!!!

Thanks Greg, I have learned so much along the way, especially how much you can achieve yourself. The only thing that I farmed out was the laser cutting of the stainless because it was gunna take me too long to build bloody one
, gotta have a laugh.

Soooooooooo much fun, first time behind the wheel of a ski boat and now hooked for life,
Boat went amazing, Bloody fast with neck snapping acceleration .
Got the bloody rope around the wrong way on the steering and went straight into a sand bank in the first30,seconds,,
was funny as.
Will post some pictures later on,

Well done Damo, sounds like a great day.
You're not the first person to get the steering wrong either, I can remember a club member doing that at Lake Leake a few years ago.

Heh Heh, it certainly gained my attention pretty quickly
, I have attached a few pics of todays efforts I hope you enjoy.
Also attached a pic of the steering wheel i made up out of the leftover S/Steel and wood
Just need to finish varnishing deck and sides this week and sort out the steering and shes good for Australia day
