Completed assembly of the supercharger today and quickly mocked it up on the motor to get an idea of belt length and mounting options. I know it well and truly on the P#$S but my boy was holding it when I tacked it into position and assured me it was straight :roll: :roll: . Thats ok , Ive now got a belt length and a better way of mounting it.

Finally got around to fabricating the stainless mounts for the blower and finished the belt adjuster tonight, so far so good. I will fully weld and dress out the mounts tomorrow night over some beers and tunes. Am going to start the plumbing on the weekend which will at least make it look like it may actually run !!!! :lol: Still trying to track down a final carb to make the set but finding old Strombergs these days is harder than I thought.

Still Pissing down over here in the west :evil: so its been 3 weeks since the last coat of varnish, I know we need the rain but this is getting old very quick now. Hopefully get some fine weather next week.

Hey Tommo, Haven't given it much thought really but somewhere between 250 - 300 should be achievable without going overboard. Spent today on the manifold and got it to a point where im happy, ive got to say it seemed pretty easy in my head but a S#*T load harder to actually do it :lol: :lol: . next step is to fully weld and polish it then tackle the induction side of the manifold.

With that power to weight ratio the fella's with the skiff's will have to keep an eye on you. :lol: 8-)

Hey Guys, Had a chance today to complete the fit up of the inlet manifold , next step is to strip it down and fully weld out and dress them up. Once finished I will recon the carbs and fit the whole lot on the motor on the shed floor and kick it in the guts and see if it will actually run!!!!!! :shock: :shock:

Hookster, did you get around to tracking down those window Bracket as I am still interested?

looks great, With the long runners from the carbs you have to watch out that the fuel vapour doesn't turn back to droplets unless the blower can covert it back to vapour .
Had some thing similar on an old xp falcon six, could not stop it pinging with standard head!!!!!

Got a chance to work on the boat, still raining so I did some more on the motor. Fully welded all the plumbing which I've got to say wasn't as easy as I thought it was going to be. Because its so thin every time you lay down a weld the whole thing twist and bends :roll: I was very frustrated to say the least but you learn along the way and by the end it wasn't too bad. You can also see I have completed the carbs, I gave them a spruce up and ran a kit through them and they came up a million bucks ;) 8-) I am getting a custom cam made up by Jim at Camtech and once I get that I will start to assemble the good motor. Can anyone recommend gauges as I want to use ones that are old school to go with the hot rod theme I trying to go for?
