HAAAAA Haaaaa Damo, classic story so far and very funny comments so keep it rolling :lol: :lol: My only criticism is that when you piggy-backed the boat home on the car trailer you didn't have it facing backwards (see photo below of my efforts). By facing the boat forwards as you did, you actually made it look sort of normal, kind of like you were on your way to the nearest lake to drop her in and go for a spin. I opted to put mine on backwards and all cocked up on one side so any passersby were under no false illusions that my new aquisition was going anywhere near water at any time in the near future. Even the police who pulled me over at an RBT on the way home felt sorry for me. Cheers mate and welcome. PS. Love the surfy dude wig - if you hadn't noticed, the Victorian mob are pretty big on the hair thing, Jon.

Morning Jon, Well i have to say mine nearly sufferd the same indignity until we worked out that the flat tyres straddled the stiffener bars of the trailer perfectly. As for the surfer head of hair , well I'm afraid I can't lay fame to that as that was the original owner. I have a few more years on him with my hair colour ryming with "Hay" . Heh Heh . "Ok" at this point I had de-constructed the top deck and transom and stood back and gone S#*t what have I got myself into. To make matters worse I had told my beloved wife that the "FIX-UP" wont take long at all and was mainly cosmetic with her telling me its a pile of rotten wood and it will "Never" go again. "Now you can see where I'm at now fellas cant you".The thing with us males is we hate to be proved wrong by our lovely better halves. So the Gauntlet was laid down giving me till next summer to have the old girl completed.

Here are some pics of the transom taking shape, you will see some rib repairs due to the farmers hacking out the ribs for their interpretation of an exhaust system. As well as the centre support I installed another either side for added strength and support. Now this may lift an eyebrow or two, I used 11FC Sikaflex in the construction of the transom and the front and middle supports as I know this product inside out and have been using it for the best part of 10 years in my trade. The old existing joints had failed due to flex in the boat cracking the epoxy, so my thought process was that that by using the 11FC this will remedy this issue by allowing flex. Right or Wrong it's done and as strong as,
