little hydro

Postby rayza1 » 18 Dec 2012, 21:36

Hi Guys, just after some info about my little hydro. Would it be a good idea to fill the hulls? (is that the correct term) with expanding foam, would this add strength and rigidity?

If its the little tunnel hull I remember I wouldnt as it would prevent you from seeing if any rot or internal damage is occurring. Those little hulls are usually rigid enough and I have had one in the past with a 25hp on it without problems

Often "that expanding stuff" can absorb and hold water. Outcome is a damned heavy boat and rot. Leave it out.

Bloody hell Ray!

You are opening another can of worms there! The first thing you should be doing is changing the colour,
you know it makes sense, and then probably name it "Double Worry" or Two Worries don't make a Wright?

Or may be "not enough to worry about" and Ray, if your thinking about floatation, look for something for the prop as I believe there hard to keep afloat. :(
